Today we enter into the most Holy and Great Week, in which liturgy will remember, celebrate the memory of the mystery of the Passion, death, and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
In this Passion narative, St. Luke shows Jesus as the one who forgives all and is merciful towards all. The Redeemer is the one who understands his enemies: they do so because they live in darkness, otherwise they could not act in this such criminal way.
Jesus, from the Cross prayed: "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do!" Jesus wants to bring out the divine mercy that St. Luke recounts the Passion of Christ as the story of conversion.
The Cross that we contemplate at the beginning of Holy Week will be a source of conversion and of a new life given by mercy.

the King of Israel!"
