God is Mercy

Jesus was stressing the fact 

that humility is basic. 

Knowing ourselves in truth, 

accepting ourselves in truth, 

is basic and fundamental. 

Learning to humble ourselves opens ourselves to the concern of others. 

The combination of self-criticism and fraternal correction is 

a perfect recipe for becoming a good person. 

As teh Gospel says, 

"The good person out of the good treasure of the heart produces good." 

(Lk. 6:45).
